There is NO need to de-register from your NHS GP!
Private GP Services are complementary to that provided by your NHS practitioner; a lot of people use a private GP to reduce waiting times for scans or to see a specialist. We often work with your current NHS GP and share information to help get a complete picture of your health and in the future there is no problem going back to the NHS.
Our medical services are designed to help you and your family get to the root of any health problems as quickly as possible and to help you find solutions suitable for you. We actually save our patients time and expense by avoiding unnecessary investigations. Often we see patients who think or wish to have unnecessary procedures or imaging to help them ease their minds or find a cause, these procedures may be necessary; however an appointment or consultation with a member of our team often finds a more cost effective and quicker solution which can ease your mind and solve your health problems.

FAQs
If you’re seeing reassurance or wanting to get rid of a health concern and answer yes to any of the following questions then you should book an appointment.
- Have you ever been to your NHS GP and wanted to ask more but couldn’t?
- Have you felt your doctor has not taken your concerns seriously?
- Have you felt your GP won’t refer you but you want a test or scan?
As doctor appointments are normally limited to around 10 minutes, you can feel that your condition isn’t being taken seriously or it may be that you would like the reassurance of a test or scan, but your doctor doesn’t think it’s necessary.
Sometimes you may want to discuss more than one health concern, but there simply isn’t time. Or it could be you just want a second opinion.
With a private GP appointment, you can have as much time as you need to discuss such things as blood tests, scans and arrangements to see specialists can be arranged there and then.
As part of our Private GP service, we are fully able to provide patients with a private prescription form for medication that you need.
If you need a prescription or repeat medication for a medical condition, you simply need to arrange an appointment with our experienced doctor, who, following an assessment, will be able to prescribe the appropriate prescription.
Our General Practitioner is registered with the GMC and, as a private service, will endeavour to help with your requirements for a number of issues such as when you:
- Have run out of your regular/repeat prescription medication
- Have forgotten or lost your tablets, inhalers or medicine
- Need access to emergency contraception
- Are seeking medication that is not available under the NHS
Although medical assessments are available on the NHS, a regular GP appointment is rarely enough time to discuss your concerns related to specific job roles or situations and in many cases, you will need to pay to receive a medical report for a job role. A referral on the NHS for further tests can also take many weeks to come through and often with medicals, a quick turnaround is vital to appease employers.
Premier Clinic offer private examinations, which include a full consultation and report. If further tests are required such as blood tests, vaccinations, scans or X-Rays, these can bearranged quickly, giving you the information you need in as short as time as possible.
If you would like to discuss a specific medical form you need completing, such as a VISA medical form or you are a candidate seeking a medical screening for sport or employment, please send your forms and requirements to info@premier-clinic.co.uk and a member of the team will contact you with a quote as soon as possible.
